Unable to see saved passwords in Wallet

When I open Passwords in Microsoft Wallet and try to see a saved password, a dialog box pops up and asked me to enter my Microsoft password. When I enter my password, another dialog box pops up and states I have the wrong username or password. There is no screen for username, and I am using the correct password. I have tried to change my password but am still unable to log in to see my saved passwords.

Clear the browser cache and reconnect.

Try using private browsing or a different browser.

Check if there are multiple connected Microsoft accounts that could cause a conflict.

    Test from another device.

    Hello Lawrence,

    Here's what's likely happening:

    1. Migration Issues: Microsoft has been transitioning password management from Wallet and Authenticator to Edge's built-in Password Manager. Many users have reported that saved passwords either disappeared or became inaccessible after this migration.
    2. Authentication Confusion: The dialog asking for your Microsoft password may be referencing a local Windows account password or a PIN, especially if your device uses Windows Hello or has multiple Microsoft accounts signed in.
    3. Authenticator Changes: Microsoft Authenticator is dropping password autofill support entirely by August 2025. If you previously used Authenticator to manage passwords, they may no longer be accessible unless synced to Edge.

    Recommended Steps to Resolve:

    1. Check for Multiple Accounts:
      • Go to Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts on your Windows device.
      • Ensure you're signed in with the correct Microsoft account—the one you expect to hold your saved passwords.
    2. Use Edge Beta:
    3. Clear Cache and Try Again:
      • Clear your browser cache.
      • Try accessing Wallet in a private/incognito window or a different browser.
    4. Check for Conflicting Credentials:
      • If you're prompted for a password but no username field appears, it may be using cached credentials or a local account. Try setting up a PIN via Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options and use that for verification.

Still can not access passwords. I bought a new computer with Windows 11. I’m trying to manually access all my accounts. Although I can not access my passwords on my old computer, can I delete Wallet from that computer so no one else will be able to access them when I despise of that computer?

You’re asking the same questions. I need to delete Wallet from my old computer now.
