Why is my wildcard DNS entry not working

@Cedric Legoux Any update? If you post your domain in comments I can query DNS and see if anything looks incorrect. I've used wildcards with Azure DNS without issue, and I just tested with a .com.au address to make sure it works with that as well.

Yes this is how I created the record. found in the documentation wildcard can not be created from the portal ?

I then tried to add it using Powershell but it did not work as well. While the record was created, I could not get any results for subdomain not explicitely having their own A record.
I currently deleted that wildcard record to ensure it does not cause issues with our defined A record.
How do you create your wildcard A record ?

I created wildcard A record via portal without issue, and was able to query it using several different random host names and all returned IP address of the wildcard entry.

I did not test having explicit A record along with wildcard--I only had one A record, the wildcard, in the test I did for your question.

@Cedric Legoux Any update? I did some more testing to re-confirm. I created two explicit A records, each pointing to different IP addresses. Additionally, I create a wildcard A record pointing to a third unique IP address.

I then used nslookup to query the two explicit as well as two random names. The two explicit returned their corresponding IP addresses and the two randoms returned the same wildcard IP address.

If you post your domain in a comment I will perform some DNS queries and see if I can figure out what is happening. Please let me know one example of explicit. I can remove your domain after posting so that it isn't posted publicly for very long.
