Access to Azure Face API denied – What steps must an unmanaged customer follow?
Hello,
We are a Microsoft Partner and CSP for a customer trying to access Azure Face API, but the request was denied because their tenant is currently classified as unmanaged.
The customer already:
- Completed the Limited Access request form,
Sent the required domain verification document,
And followed the steps mentioned in the documentation.
However, Microsoft Support closed the case stating that only managed customers are eligible for access.
We are not developing the solution (another provider is in charge), but we are the CSP and want to support the client, especially since enabling this API would lead to Azure consumption.
Our main question:
What exact steps must the customer follow to become eligible and obtain access to Face API?
Can they upgrade to a Microsoft 365 SKU?
Can their current provider submit the request instead?
Is there any formal path to move from unmanaged to managed status?
Any official guidance or reference on how to move forward would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance
