- The GitHub repository for Service Fabric (https://github.com/microsoft/service-fabric) appears to be lacking updates.
- Release notes are either not updated or are significantly delayed post-release.
- The README states, "We are in the process to move our development to GitHub," yet the code hasn't been updated in years.
- Issues on GH do not seem to get much attention of the Service Fabric team.
- The Service Fabric blog has not been updated recently.
- Q&A sessions seem to have ceased altogether.
- Linux support seems not to receive updates (see my other question: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/2241083/service-fabric-support-for-new-linux-os-versions )
- The one-box Docker image hasn't been updated since forever and runs on EOL versions
- The feedback forum appears to be unmonitored https://feedback.azure.com/d365community/forum/e622b37a-2225-ec11-b6e6-000d3a4f0f84
Given these observations, concerns arise about recommending Service Fabric if it appears to have diminished attention from the Microsoft team.
