I'm surprised that there were no previous comments on this. There are many third parties that have AD schema extensions. I'm not aware that any of them have to be officially acknowledged by MS. If the developer follows MS docs and adheres to MS standards, that's sufficient. The LDIFDE import file is plain text so anyone can view it. IIRC, a schema extension is one way, so you cannot revert, so it's use at your own risk. MS has disclaimers about extending the schema, but I have never seen one go awry. It's like how they warn against editing the Windows registry, yet I have done it 100s of times over the years with no issues.

Hello,
I have a question regarding "Manage Linux SUDO privileges with Microsoft Active Directory". We are looking at a schema extension which will provide the capability to manage SUDO permissions on Linux hosts from the Active Directory Domain Controller. "https://www.haxor.no/en/article/sudo-with-ad"
Is this officially acknowledged by Microsoft and is supported as a feature?
Will this void Microsoft support for the AD component?
Thank you,
Adrian
