Not getting Free Tier option to choose despite all resources deleted in the resource group

I am seeing the following message when I am creating a language resource under the default resource group: "The free tier (F0) for this resource type is already being used by your subscription, therefore it will not appear in the dropdown below.". I have deleted all the resources under the "only" resource group I have. User's image

@Anonymous Are you using a student account or an account whose subscription is linked to an organization? Do you have access to lookup all resources in the subscription? If Yes, a simple search to list language resources should display all other resources that are already created. If you have verified that no other resource is already created then the error displayed is not reflecting the actual usage in your subscription. In this case, you might have to raise a Azure support case to have the quotas looked up before creating a new resource. Thanks!!

Hi, I am a student at Deakin University, Australia and I am have been provided subscription. I have deleted all the resources from my Resource Group as well from Cognitive Services few hours ago. When I am trying to create a ticket on https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free/students),,) I am getting the following message:

Kindly help resolve my issue since I have to work on an assignment.

@Anonymous I think you are only seeing resources that are created by you in the subscription, but your subscription seems to have used up free tier resources. I think you need to work with your subscription owner or admin to lookup other resources that are created and delete if required or create a standard tier resource.

I had the same issue and I finally found that the solution is to purge the previously deleted resources. In my case, I searched for "Language Service" in the search bar and then clicked over the "Manage deleted resources". Then I selected all and clicked "Purge. Hope this helps!

The Cognitive Services are Rebranded as AI Foundry, and you can find it under AI Foundry, select Manage Deleted Resources and select and Purge the deleted resources, after this you will be able to again see the Free tier in the previously used region User's image
